"We have begun with the technical process for appointment of the master planner for Cujira. He will mainly coordinate between all agencies to ensure that there is no overlap in the works carried out by various departments."
Additionally, the master planner will also look into whether any changes for the betterment of the
entire complex as the government plans to replicate the same in other major cities across the State. "As far as installation of CCTVs for round-the-clock surveillance within and surrounding the complex is concerned, we are in the process of working out an entire plan. We would require at least eight CCTVs for the surveillance in public areas only," said Kuncalienker.
Both decisions - appointment of master planner and installation of CCTVs, which were taken by the eight member task-force in its meeting, are expected to be implemented within the next two months. The task-force has already held five meetings to discuss various issues and initiatives with regard to the complex.
"The work on the ring road has also started, but a part of it belongs to the local comunidade. We
have requested the comunidade to provide us with that land for construction of the road," he informed.
"The work on the new electrical sub-station has already been completed and the new dedicated water pipeline has also been laid which will solve the major water problem of the complex. We are also exploring the possibility to provide another road access to the complex via Merces," he said.
