Acting on a complaint by social activist Ramrao Wagh, the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) on Wednesday conducted an inspection of the chemical containers dumped at the Azossim-Mandur comunidade land.
The inspection was done by GPPCB Junior Environmental Engineer (JEE) Devesh Golkar in the presence of the complainant, Ramrao Wagh.
Speaking to The Goan, Wagh said a total of 17 containers were found dumped in the area, of which 15 of them were 15 metres in length, while two were 10 metres in length.
“Golkar has informed that he will submit his report to higher authorities,” Wagh said.
