The Mapusa advocate who was involved in the hit and run case in Guirim has more trouble in store for him, after police added more stringent sections against him.
Mapusa Police added Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 201 (destruction of evidence) of the IPC against the accused, Milind Naik Dessai, who allegedly knocked down the two-wheeler rider who later succumbed to his injuries.
The accident had taken place near the Guirim highway two weeks ago. Police received the blood report of the alcohol test of the accused driver, while conducting the investigation of the death of victim Pradeep Narvekar in the hit and run case.
“The alcohol test of the accused has come positive for consumption of alcohol,” said Jivba Dalvi, Mapusa SDPO.
Mapusa Police have written to the court about the additional Sections 304 and 201 added against the accused.
