The water pipeline at Green Park Junction at Guirim has developed a leak and the PWD will undertake repair work on Saturday, resulting in restricted water supply in some parts of Bardez.
The 500 MM water pipeline supplies water to Anjuna, Chapora, Vagator, Sangolda (some parts), Nagoa, Parra, Arpora and Calangute (some parts) and these parts will receive restricited water supply.
The pipeline had ruptured on May 1 and it was repaired the next day by the PWD. However, it started leaking again and the PWD has fixed Saturday for the repairs.
“Work will begin at 9 am and the Service Road will be closed. The traffic department and the police have been informed in advance,” said Water Supply Assistant Engineer Dattaram Raikar.
