A Gujarat police team returned to Canacona in search of a liquor trader from Canacona in connection with a liquor case registered in Gujarat in 2021.
According to Canacona police sources, a police team reached Canacona police station looking for a liquor trader from Canacona.
“This time, the police team were carrying a picture and were on the lookout for one Ligorio D’Souza. Accordingly, the Canacona police assisted their counterparts to the residence of D’Souza at Shellim-Loliem,” informed a source.
Police sources said the police went to the residence of D’Souza, but he was not found at his home. The police clicked some pictures and then left the site.
Sources further informed The Goan that there is no one from Goa has been named in the FIR with Gujarat police. The accused arrested by Gujarat police in the 2021 case has only named one Legaro, a liquor trader from Goa, from whom he had allegedly purchased the liquor consignment.
