The health minister has stated that road works in Guleli-Sattari would be completed before Ganesh Chaturthi, while a 4 MLD water treatment plant at Keri will be connected to Morlem.
The minister chaired a meeting with Santosh Phadte (DCF - North), Vilas Tamboskar (EE PWD) and Guleli Panch Asmita Melekar to discuss the completion of road works in Guleli.
He said Tamboskar has assured to complete this road on a war footing and to get it ready before Ganesh Chaturthi.
“In addition, we will be requesting Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and the forest department to allow opening up of forest gate for movement of people.”
“We will also send a formal note requesting the deputation of a guard at the gate to avoid any problems, particularly at night,” the minister said.
Meanwhile, the minister also chaired a meeting on Wednesday to review the 4 MLD water treatment plant at Keri, which will be connected to Morlem.
He said the foundation for an additional 2 MLD was laid last month to increase the capacity of the treatment plant.
The minister said Poriem MLA and former chief minister Pratapsing Rane had given a NOC to the PWD to use the land to set up the pumping station.
“The water treatment plant will benefit the people of Parye, Gholwada, Sawantwada, and several other areas facing water supply issues,” said the health minister.
“We are constantly working to ensure water supply issues are resolved through the water treatment plants, while also fast-tracking the water treatment plants in Bhironda and Pissurlem on top priority,” he added.
