Gulem mishap paralysis traffic
CANACONA: The National Highway-17 remained blocked for vehicular traffic for more than four hours following a mishap between a trailer and a HP gas truck at Gulem-Canacona on Friday morning.
According to Canacona Police, the trailer (KA-01-C-3744) was proceeding towards Margao when it dashed against an oncoming HP gas truck (MH-06-AQ-5781) at Karmalghat section of Gulem in Canacona at about 7 am.
Both the vehicles got entangled in such a way that the NH17 remained blocked for vehicular traffic for more than four hours and most of the traffic was diverted via Agonda-Khola-Khanaguinim road, till the movement of traffic resumed at about 11 am.
People travelling in public transportation in Barcem, Padi, Balli were inconvenienced as most buses were diverted via the Agonda route.
Canacona Police further informed that a case was registered and investigation is in progress.
