MARGAO: Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai has hoped the government in Goa may wake up from slumber if Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai draws its attention to maintain the Dambab Talli (Water tank), near the Damodar Linga, Fatorda.
After the Governor visited the Holy Spirit Church, the Fatorda MLA invited Pillai to pay a visit to the Lord Dambab Temple at the Linga, near the Nehru stadium.
When the Governor offered prayers at the Damodar Linga, Sardesai drew his attention to the presence of the Dambab Talli, though a heritage site, is still owned by a private owner. He pointed out that people from Margao and Fatorda bring the Ganesh idols for immersion at the Dambab Talli, lamenting that the site is still not being declared as a heritage site.
