HC orders interim relief to Sunil Garg till April 5

Directs complainant Munnalal Halwai to submit all documents related to the case

The High Court has directed complainant Munnala Halwai to submit all the relevant documents in connection with the former IGP Sunil Garg alleged bribery case. Garg challenged Panaji JMFC court's order before the High Court.

Munnalal Halwai had registered an FIR against Sunil Garg for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5.5 lakh. The High Court has accepted the submission of the ACB and till the next date of hearing FIR against Garg will not be filed.

Kusum Sirsat (86, Mapusa) succumbed to injuries at Goa Medical College, Bambolim following an assault during a theft at her house. The accused Vikram Manik, was hired by Kusum Sirsat to clean the house, when he attacked the victim and her daughter before fleeing with jewelry worth Rs. 1.5 lakh. The accused is remanded to four days of police custody by JMFC Mapusa.
