HC takes suo motu cognizance of shifting Goa's NGT matters to Delhi,

The High Court on Monday took suo motu cognizance of shifting Goa's NGT matters to Delhi. The Court has barred shifting of fies to Delhi till further orders. The next hearing on this issue is scheduled for 5 September.

Shifting of Goa's Green Tribunal matters from Pune to Delhi has raised some strong reactions from the activists and media in the state. The High Court issued a notice to the Central Government on the issue. Meanwhile, advocate Saresh Lotlikar has been appointed as Amicus Curiae in the matter
