On Friday, Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho celebrated his birthday by giving back to the community. He distributed wheelchairs, walking sticks, and hearing aids to 65 needy individuals, aiming to support those facing mobility and hearing challenges. Godinho also announced plans to supply food packets to the poor, with volunteers ensuring that these reach those most in need. Additionally, 100 dustbins were distributed throughout the constituency.
Godinho shared details of upcoming development projects, including a Rs 600 crore flyover project for Dabolim, which will be inaugurated by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari within 10 days. The project will expand to Rs 1,800 crores. Phase three of Joggers Park will include an air-conditioned hall for 800 people, set to be the best park in a panchayat area. Other projects include a parade ground, a new development at Chicalim junction, an additional railway bridge at Shantinagar, and a new toilet block in New Vaddem.
