The inauguration of the Saligao PHC was held in the absence of Health Minister.
Though the Director of Health Services Dr Jose D’Sa was present, he did not speak at the function. It is learned that the 20-bedded PHC was started without making provision for any bed facility. People are questioning the haste for inaugurating the centre in such a small space above the Saligao market. It did not appear the health department had any hand in it, they said.
