The coronavirus scare failed to dampen the Holi celebrations in Fatorda on Tuesday as the festivities organized by Fatorda Youth Club and
MLA Vijai Sardesai’s ‘We for Fatorda’ drew crowds of revellers.
Men and women, young and old participated in the festivities, unmindful of the central government’s advisory to avoid mass gatherings.
Goa Forward chief said while Holi festivities has been either curtailed or called off at several places, coronavirus will not dampen the spirit of the festival in Fatorda. “Hell with coronavirus in Fatorda. Enjoy safe Holi,” Vijai said while wishing the people a happy Holi.
The SGPDA parking lot wore a festive look in true spirit of the Holi festival which was the venue for Fatorda Youth Club’s Rang Masti 2020.
In the meantime, former MLA and BJP leader Damu Naik along with party MLAs also celebrated a low key Holi near Lord Damodar Temple near Nehru stadium. After paying respects to Lord Damodar, Damu and his supporters greeted each other with gulal.
