The Margao Municipal Council has decided to hold the fair of Holy Spirit Church feast this year on the Margao municipal parking lot at old market instead of the SGPDA grounds.
MMC Chairperson
Pooja Naik told the media that the decision has been taken to set up the fair at the MMC acquired parking ground given that the SGPDA ground plays host to parking of vehicles of the Inox
theatre and people coming to the Osia commercial complex.
“The feast fair of the Holy Spirit Church, which is celebrating the feast from Monday will be held this year on the MMC acquired ground near the St Francis Xavier Chapel,” she added.
Pooja informed that the MMC has to pay huge money to the SGPDA for hiring the space for the feast fair, adding that the civic body would save the amount this time round.
In the past, the feast fair was held at the MMC parking lot near the St Francis Xavier Chapel.
