Amid hot and humid conditions, parts of Goa received light rain and gusty winds over the past 24 hours, though the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast mostly dry weather ahead.
Very light rainfall was recorded at isolated places. Panaji registered the highest maximum temperature at 33.8°C, while the lowest minimum temperature of 25.0°C was recorded at Mormugao. Temperatures remained above normal in several areas. Panaji recorded a high of 35.4°C, 2.8°C above normal, and Mormugao 33.6°C, 1.3°C above normal. Minimum temperatures were also slightly higher.
The IMD said a trough extends from Marathwada to south interior Karnataka. A Western Disturbance is expected to affect northwest India from March 28, with minimal impact on Goa.
Dry and partly cloudy weather is likely on Friday, with mainly sunny and dry conditions expected until April 1.
