Hot mixing road works launched in Bicholim

Hot mixing road works   launched in Bicholim MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye inaugurating the hot mixing road work in Bicholim town, along with Vijaykumar Natekar, Deepa Pal, Rashmi Mayekar, Vijay Sardesai, and others.

Asphalt (hot mixing) road works for various roads within the Bicholim Municipal area were inaugurated on Saturday morning by MLA Dr. Chandrakant Shetye.

The event was attended by former Municipal Chairperson Vijaykumar Natekar, Deepa Pal, Aniket Chanekar, Vijay Sardesai, Vishwas Gaonkar, Vishwas Gawas, Executive Engineer Rashmi Mayekar, Sneha Pednekar, Deepa Shirgaonkar, along with other councillors and local residents.

Addressing those present, Dr Shetye stated that the majority of road projects in the municipal jurisdiction have already been tendered. He said some works are in the final stages and will be completed before the monsoon, while the remaining projects are expected to be taken up after the monsoon and completed before November.

He further noted that the government is making continuous efforts to ensure overall development in the area, with close follow-up to expedite ongoing and upcoming infrastructure works.

Dr Shetye also pointed out that delays in certain projects were due to pending no-objection certificates and other technical issues, adding that steps are being taken to resolve them.

Officials informed that hot mixing will be carried out on a one-kilometre stretch from Koteshwar to the bus stand at an estimated cost of Rs80 lakh.
