A 30-year-old man hailing from Madhya Pradesh and employed in a starred hotel along the Calangute-Candolim coast has been feared drowned in the waterfall at Sanvordem-Sattari. According to reports, a group of hotel employees had gone for a swim at the waterfall, when Pankaj Rajput, went missing in the water on Wednesday evening.
Some members from the group then contacted the Valpoi police and the Valpoi fire station was notified of the incident. Despite a search till late Wednesday night, Rajput could not be located. Fire and emergency officials said search operations would continue on Thursday morning. A Navy team will also be pressed into service.
