The Goa Legislative Assembly on Friday endorsed the State budget for the current 2025-26 financial year presented by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant earlier in March this year and passed the corresponding Goa Appropriation Bill, 2025 by a voice vote.
The passage of the bill gives advance legislative approval to the government to appropriate the State’s receipts and expenditure during the year to and from the Consolidated Fund.
Additionally the House also passed the first batch of supplementary demands for grants and the related Appropriation Bill mostly related to capital expenditure of the government.
