In a major theft, unknown persons broke into a house in Cuncolim and stole gold ornaments and cash worth around Rs 15 lakh. The police have registered an FIR based on a complaint filed by Santana Dias, a resident of Cuncolim. According to the complaint, on June 10, the thieves broke open the main door lock of his house, opened the lockers of a metal cupboard, and stole gold ornaments and cash before fleeing with the valuables.
