Meanwhile, Paroda was back in the news again after local residents had to literally wade through waist deep water to make it to the other side of the village.
In fact, the main Margao-Quepem road passing through the village, besides the internal roads, have been inundated again due to the overnight incessant rains. Last month, the main road at Paroda lay submerged under water for a couple of days, only bringing to the fore the failure of the authorities resolve the long standing issue of waterlogging and inundation of the main road during monsoons.
Residents were seen wading through waist deep water with belongings after the road was rendered unmotorable because of inundation.
