Housing Board case: HC gives Elvis clean chit

In a major reprieve, former bureaucrat and Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP)  State convenor Elvis Gomes has got a clean chit in the corruption case  booked against him pertaining to a 2016 land acquisition case of the Goa  Housing Board which he headed as managing director.  

The Bombay High Court disposed Gomes’ petition seeking quashing of  the FIR registered against him by the ACB after it said that the  Director of Prosecution has opined that there was “no iota of evidence”  documentary or otherwise to file a chargesheet against him.
