Quepem boy goes missing

A 13-year-old boy from Quepem has been reported missing since Thursday evening.

According to the missing complaint, the boy had demanded Rs 300 from his mother on Thursday and when she refused to part with the money, he left the house on his bicycle. 

When he did not return home that evening, the family started searching for him and found his bicycle at the Quepem market.

Earlier on January 25, the boy had made a similar attempt to run away from his house and had tried to go to Delhi along with a friend.

Based on a missing complaint at the time, the police analysed CCTV footage of the Konkan Railway station at Margao and found the missing boy along with another boy on the platform. The Railway Police brought both boys and later handed them over to their families.

The missing complaint has been registered u/s 363 of IPC alongwith sec 8 of Goa Children’s Act.
