A male human skeleton has been found in a field at Sarvewada-Guirim and the deceased is suspected to be a person who has been missing since March 5.
On receiving the news, Mapusa police went to the site and retrieved the skeleton and other body remains, which were later sent to the GMC hospital at Bambolim for an autopsy.
The skeleton was found with male clothes and it is suspected that the deceased is a 50-year-old man from Guirim who had gone missing since March 5.
Mapusa police are investigating the matter.
