Expecting a huge flow of travellers from Karnataka to Goa due to the weekend rush and the ensuing Independent Day that follows, South Western Railways (SWR) has decided to run special trains between Yesvantpur and Vasco for one trip in each direction.
Train No 07357 will depart from Yesvantpur on August 11 at 6.15 pm and reach Vasco the next day at 9.30 am. The train will arrive/depart Dharwad (2.38/2.40 am) the next day, Londa (4.10/4.12 am), Castle Rock (4.45/5.00 am), Kulem (6.50/7.00 am), Sanvordem (7.43/7.44 am) and Margao (7.55/8.00 am).
In the return direction, Train No 07358 will depart from Vasco on August 12, 2023, at 2.30 pm and reach Yesvantpur the next day at 4.30 am. The train will have stoppages at Margao, Sanvordem and Kulem in Goa.
These trains will have 20 coaches including AC 1st Class (1), AC-2 tier coach (2), AC-3 tier coach (7), Sleeper class (8) and general second-class luggage cum brake vans with disabled-friendly compartments (2).
Special trains between Bengaluru, Vasco: It is decided to run special trains (06501/06562) between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru and Vasco for one trip.
“This special train in each direction is taken to clear the extra rush of passengers ahead of the Independence Day. Train No. 06501 will depart from Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru on August 14 at 05:30 pm and arrive at Vasco-da-Gama the next day at 09:30 am. In the return direction, Train No. 06502 will depart from Vasco on August 15 at 02:30 pm and reach Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru the next day at 05:00 am,” stated the press note.
