Aam Aadmi Party assured that if they come to power in Goa, every public project will be kept for public scrutiny and development will be people-oriented.

AAP convened a public meeting at Assolda Panchayat hall on Sunday evening to prepare its election manifesto for the upcoming assembly election. About 60 locals from Assolda and nearby places attended the meeting.

The meeting was convened to discuss and to listen to the issues of the local people and also to prepare election manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections as per the people's choice.

The locals raised various issues like the paralysed sub health centre. They said they have to travel a distance of about 7 kms from their village to Curchorem Community Health Center. Hence, they need sub health centre functional along with better health services in the village.

They further said garbage problem is not tackled well in their area and they need proper mechanism in place so that door-to-door garbage collection and disposal is undertaken in right manner.

The locals also said many youth from the village are unemployed and hardly anyone gets a government job.

They also opposed a railway terminal project, which was supposed to come up in Assolda area. AAP leaders told the locals that if they come to power, then every public project will be kept for public scrutiny and only then it will be started.

Curchorem AAP convenor James Fernandes, Quepem AAP convenor Patricia Fernandes, Ravindra Velip and other AAP supporters were present.
