After an anti-terrorist operation by Indian security forces the Inspector General of Police has issued a note to all police officers to maintain alert around defense areas and also at crowded public places.

Alert needs to be maintained at Naval establishments, Dabolim Airport, establishments of Indian Army and Defence installations in the state, says the note issued by the IGP Jaspal Singh.

The IGP has also cautioned that no unattended vehicles be permitted near vital installations.

Meanwhile, the police warned a youth from Banda, Maharastra for misguiding them with information that terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad is planning an attack in Goa. The youth claimed that he found a bag at the BSNL office at Bambolim which contained documents about a terror attack in Goa.

On further investigation, however, the police found that the youth was lying. Police have warned the youth and decided to take action against him for spreading fear.
