The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has urged the state government to look into and implement the suggestions made by the Indian Medical Association-Goa unit for improving the overall Covid-19 treatment and its management in Goa.
“It looks like because of lack of support from the government that the IMA was forced to stop providing medical consultation on phone to home isolation patients,” said Rahul Mhambre, the interim convenor of AAP expressing the fear that things will take a turn for the worse without IMA’s tele-consulation services.
AAP also paid condolences to Dr Mario Godinho who lost his life to Covid-19. “It was total failure of logistics, non-availability of bed, inadequate oxygen supply and delay in treatment. The entire government is responsible for his death. CM Sawant should tell us if this is how respect will be shown to a Corona Warrior,” Mhambre stated.
