VASCO

Assuring that grievances of industries would be resolved in quick time, GIDC Chairman Aleixo Reginald Lourenco on Monday said the State government was willing to offer a green carpet to proactive companies which will also help Goans get more employment.

Reginald was speaking to reporters after visiting the IFB Plant in Verna along with WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar.

“Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho and I as head of GIDC are on the same line of thought to ensure good industries come to Goa and people get jobs while taking care of the grievances of industries. I have already chalked out a plan but I cannot give much details now.”

"We are willing to give a green carpet to any industry which is proactive and invite them to Goa so that more people can get jobs. IFB has an employment of around 2,000 people, with as many as 65 per cent Goans and even the head of their electronics department is a Goan. I think we have to help such companies,” he added.
