Inspection of road at Kantem Pale likely on Monday: Dy sarpanch
Deputy Sarpanch Sylvia D'Souza said the inspection of the road at Kantem-Pale would be carried out by the PWD on Monday.

VASCO: D'Souza has also written to Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha for her intervention in the reconstruction of two culverts at Kantem-Pale. "A resolution to reconstruct two culverts, which are about to collapse at Kantem, was already been passed on July 20 and we have forwarded our proposal to the PWD. Now, the PWD has told us to obtain priority letter of Saldanha and subsequent approval from the PWD minister to prepare an estimate. The sarpanch has also written to the MLA for her urgent assistance," D'Souza told The Goan. D'Souza informed that they had taken all Form 1 and 14 of various landlords for ascertaining NOC for the road at Kantem-Pale. "The PWD will inspect the road on Monday and also inform us how much area from different landlords will be required for the road and accordingly we will take the NOCs. The work on the roads and culverts will be taken up soon," added D'Souza.
The Colva gram sabha on Sunday demanded that tiatr and nataks should be exempted from the purview of Goods and Service Tax (GST) saying that imposing GST on tiatr will spell doom for the art and culture.
