IPB issue: Vijai says CM urged to review permissions

Admitting that the Investment Promotion Board is a contentious issue which has been taken up with the government, TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai said the Goa Forward party has told Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to review all controversial permissions in the interest of Goemkarponn.


MARGAO:  “We have a stand on certain contentious issues, including the Investment Promotion Board. We have come across cases where approvals have been given in no development zones. We fear that red category industries can come in Goa. We have told the Chief Minister not to grant approval for cases which are against the environment. I have made my stand clear with the Chief Minister,” he said.

CM requested to approach NGT, seek more time for approval of CRZ plan

Saying that the CRZ plan will have far reaching consequences for Goa in general and Salcete in particular, TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has said that the TCP has put up a note to the Chief Minister with a plea to approach the National Green Tribunal and seek six more months to approve the CRZ plan.
