The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree produced by Raymond Fernandes, son of Deputy Speaker Isidore Fernandes,
as his credential for recruitment to the post of Awal Karkun (AK) is of the Lucknow-based Bharatiya Shiksha Parishad which is listed by University Grants Commission (UGC) as not recognised by it.
The recognition or otherwise of the University, however, is sub-judice before a Sessions Court in Lucknow, said a report prepared by the Registrar of Goa University, Professor YV Reddy.
Reddy furnished the report to the Additional Collector, Dashrat Redkar, who is inquiring the matter following a complaint by activist-lawyer Aires Rodrigues.
Rekar had in February directed the Registrar of Goa University to verify the authenticity of the degree of Raymond besides the other computer course certificates he had furnished to claim employment.
