As a part of the reading movement to connect a billion people by 2025, Prudent Media will be launching Read India Celebration 2022 in Goa at the hands of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on July 29 at 10.30 am at Cidade De Goa, Dona Paula.
The programme will have the presence of Shailesh Zingade, director department of Education, Jnanpith awardee Goan author Damodar Mauzo and the founder of Read India Celebration, Raghuram Ananthoj. The programme will also see felicitations of teachers who immensely contributed for Prudent Scholars.
Read India Celebration 2022 aims at registering 100 crore readers in 100 days beginning from May 8 to August 15. Read India Celebration has witnessed huge response from the student community across India and abroad in the past few years.
With inception in 2014, Read India Celebrations saw a huge success in 2021 with 3,30,000 plus registrations from more than 10,000 schools across 29 States in India including students from the USA, UAE, Qatar and Oman.
The year before that, in 2020 students from 100 plus schools from 25 States in India including students from USA, Canada, UAE and New Zealand had participated.
To participate in the programme one has to register on www.readindia.info and after reading a book, story, article or research a topic/theme from among the 25 plus topics and submit two A4 size pages and video as below.
Page one should be learning/ findings from the book/story/ research topic along with page two having one idea, solution to solve any problem of participant’s choice (upload PDF/Word/Picture of a written document from participant’s dashboard.
Also, the participant has to submit a one-two minutes video summary about the book/story/research topic or the problem and the solution. Complete details will be available on https://readindia.info/nic-2022/ .
The participants are free to read any book, story, scenario, situation, thing, place or article of their own choice. The submission could be done in Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Bengali and English.
The last date for registration is August 15, last date of submission is August 30, Round one evaluation will be during September and October, Round two screening will be in November and grand finale will be in December.
