Job recruitment: RG demands probe

PANAJI

Revolutionary Goans condemned the BJP-led government for failing to verify documents of job applicants received for the post of multi-tasking staff and demanded a probe into an inquiry on haphazard job recruitment.

A few days after Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced 10,000 job vacancies it came to light that a non-Goan, Laxman Golvankar was given a government job with fake address proof. After this went viral online, he was immediately issued a termination letter.

Revolutionary Goans had warned that they will keep a strict watch on all recruitments being carried out in the state.

“Yesterday we received a WhatsApp message that a boy was appointed for the post of multi-tasking staff. After which he sent an acceptance letter to the Director of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. In his joining letter, his address was mentioned as Marcela and he has used the letterhead of the same department. While his driving license and Aadhar card address states he is from Vengurla, Sindhudurg,” Revolutionary Goans Chief, Manoj Parab questioned the basis of his appointment.

It also came to light that Laxman has submitted his joining report using the department’s official letterhead which needs to be thoroughly investigated, states Revolutionary Goans.
