DGP Kumar further stated that the investigation is being closely monitored from the DIG to DGP levels. However, he clarified that the police department currently has no plans to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for these cases.

In North Goa, 17 cases have been registered. The police have recovered 116 grams of gold in one of these cases, SP North Akshat Kaushal said.

In South Goa, SP Sunita Sawant said that they have seized 12 incriminating items, vehicles, and frozen bank accounts worth Rs 5 crore. SP Sawant confirmed that, so far, no political links to the scam have been found and these scams were independently carried out by each accused.
