Kamat again descends at Comba subway to get traffic streamlined

MARGAO
For the second time in as many days, Margao MLA Digambar Kamat along with officials descended at the Comba subway area to put a plan in place to streamline traffic movement.

Besides officials of the Traffic Department led by DySP Traffic, Prabodh Shirwaikar, the inspection was attended by outgoing Chief Town Planner, James Mathew, who has been roped in by the Margao MLA to help design a traffic plan for the Comba area near the subway, which plays host to the city’s education hub, catering to thousands of students, right from kindergarten to Post graduation.

The Margao MLA told the media that the inspection has been conducted to assess the pros and cons before finalizing the traffic plan.

“We have sought the services of outgoing Chief Town Planner James Mathew to give final touches to the traffic plan before the same is implemented in the area,” he said.

To a question, Kamat had said a consultant is presently on the job to design a flyover at the Comba railway crossing to take care of the traffic requirements in the locality.
