The fourth edition of the Kantaram Lharam Finals will be held today at St Sebastian Parish, Aquem, starting at 6 pm. The grand finale follows a highly participated audition round held on January 23, which saw over 100 participants competing in the Solo Cover, Solo Original and Duet categories. After the auditions, 33 contestants have been shortlisted for the final round.
In the Solo Cover category, the finalists are Esther Rodrigues, Avon Carvalho, Yardan Vaz, Frensun D’Costa, Megan Furtado, Vailankanni Dsouza, Shane Silva, Chrison Rayson Pereira, Juella Fernandes, Nave Dias, Caira Fernandes, Prinson Rebello, Wilbur Nathan Fernandes and Liza D’Silva.
The Solo Original category features Ivo Goncalves, Rihana Nelia Gomes, Sabino Roxalin Prabhu Dias, Alonso Souza, Francisco Sequeira, Robert Ryan D’Souza, Svetlana Da’Cunha and Hale Stefani Rodrigues Conceicao Fernandes.
The Duet category finalists are Anisha Costa and Esther Rodrigues, Sancha Gomes and Vallan Mascarenhas, Conceicao Fernandes and Reema Dias, Francisco Sequeira and Ninoshka Carneiro, Alroy Rebelo and Vanzyla D’Costa, and Tevry Brito and Juella Fernandes.

The evening will open with a special song presentation by the Assisi Music Academy, Monte de Guirim, led by Fr Seville Antao, who has composed the title song ‘Kantaram Lharam’. The organisers have invited music lovers to attend and enjoy an evening dedicated to Konkani music.
