In a swift action, the Maina-Curtorim police have rescued a 16-year old minor girl who was allegedly kidnapped by an accused person, believed to be a native of Karwar-Karnataka.
The accused has since been arrested by the police.
The incident is believed to have taken place at Arlem-Raia when the accused allegedly kidnapped the minor girl for the lawful guardianship of her parents and later kept her at an unknown place.
In this case, the Maina-Curtorim police had registered a case of kidnapping against the accused and under the provision of the Goa Children’s Act.
Maina-Curtorim police are further investigating into the matter.
