Sensing that its constituency in Goa is under siege from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which has over the last one year has launched a multi-pronged ground campaign ahead of the 2022 assembly polls, the Congress is hitting back.
On Thursday, the AICC national spokesperson, Alka Lamba, lashed out at Kejriwal for what she said was leaving Delhi at a crucial time and touring States like Goa, Punjab and Uttarakhand for electioneering.
Lamba's verbal attack on Kejriwal and AAP comes less than 24 hours after yet another AICC spokesperson, Shama Mohamed, had on Wednesday lashed out at Kejriwal accusing him of abdicating responsibility. Hours earlier Kejriwal had blamed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), governed by the Cente, for demolition of a church in south Delhi's Chattarpur and promised justice. Mohamed, however, accused him of lying.
She added that the DDA has two AAP MLAs, one BJP MLA and three BJP corporators as members.
On Thursday, Lamba, interestingly flanked by three Congresswomen -- Shraddha Khalap, Royla Fernandes and Devsurabhi -- all formerly associated with AAP, repeated the charge against AAP and Kejriwal of sharing responsibilty for demolition of a portion of the Delhi Church edifice.
