North Goa Zilla Panchayat Chairperson Kartik Kudnekar took strong objection to Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte’s statement to oppose the regularisation of houses in Comunidade land.
He alleged that Khaunte has changed his stand on the Comunidade issue. In the Goa Legislative Assembly, Khaunte has opposed the regularisation of houses in Comunidade land.
Opposing the stand of Khaunte, Kudnekar said that common people who are facing housing problems have built their houses on Comunidade land. These people are awaiting the regularisation of their houses for the last many years, he added.
Earlier before elections, Khaunte had promised people to help them to regularise such houses and now he is opposing it, alleged Kudnekar stating that Khaunte has changed his stand completely.
“He still has the mentality of Bhatkarshahi. He doesn’t know we live in a democracy,” said Kudnekar.
Kudnekar challenged Khaunte to demolish the houses built on Comunidade land.
Kudnekar blasted Khaunte for making personal comments against him and Socorro panchayat.
He thanked BJP for giving him the opportunity to work for the people.
