Khola Gram Sabha pushes for tourist rooms and Bal Bhavan
A number of resolutions were passed in the Khola Gram Sabha, which was chaired by Sarpanch Pandhari Prabhudesai.

CANACONA

The Gram Sabha in Khola on Sunday resolved to have rooms constructed and rented out to visitors to boost panchayat revenue and to open a Bal Bhavan in the Panchayat Ghar.

A number of resolutions were passed in the Khola Gram Sabha, which was chaired by Sarpanch Pandhari Prabhudesai.

In one of the resolutions, the Gram Sabha asked the panchayat body to expedite the ongoing court matter to get the panchayat building room which is occupied by a co-operative society.

Other resolutions pertained to painting of the panchayat building, pavers in front of the panchayat hall, cutting roadside bushes and pruning trees, patching potholes on Kamormolem road, garbage awareness and tax, and laying telephone cables before roads are hotmixed.

The Gram Sabha resolved to ask authorities to hotmix the main road (MDR-49) passing through the village, while also opposing constructions without the permission of the Panchayat.

Members sought to clean the water tank at Kajumol and start water supply from Kudai to Kajumol.

Concerned about regular traffic jams along the Cabo-de-Rama road, Gram Sabha members demanded the presence of traffic police to regulate the traffic.

Another demand was to have a toilet constructed in the Cabo-de-Rama Fort premises for visitors.

The Khola Panchayat is also requested to invite experts to provide career guidance for SSC students in both the village high schools.
