Konkani film to be produced by Priyanka Chopra's studio

A Konkani and Hindi dual language film by Goan director Suvrata Nasnodkar will be one among three films to be produced by Priyanka Chopra’s Purple Pebble pictures.
The film called Little Joe - a light hearted fun story is about friendship and is part of a project to promote women directors as well as regional cinema.
Nasnodkar has worked in three films before in various roles including the second unit director or assistant director in Bollywood films like Satyagraha (2013) and Chakravyuh (2012)
Chopra had recently announced three regional films expected to release later this year - in Sikkimese, Konkani and Hindi. All three films will be helmed by female directors. And all three will be children’s films.
The film is scheduled to be released later this year.
“It has been an enriching experience to work with these incredibly talented women. Each one has created a world, which is magical and draws you right in. I’m truly looking forward to working with my team,” Chopra was reported to have said in comments related to the announcement.
Nasnodkar is based in Mumbai but owes her roots to Goa.
