Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Evita D’Souza, Gauri Mavlinkar, and Samiksha Velip in New Delhi and extended his greetings on their appointment as Konkani Consultant Interpreters in the Lok Sabha Secretariat. With their induction, arrangements have now been made to enable listening to the entire proceedings of the Lok Sabha in Konkani. The interpreters are currently undergoing training under the guidance of Sharat Krishna Raikar.
From Monday, August 18, 2025, the complete interpretation in Konkani will be broadcast live, a historic first and a proud moment for all Goans and the global Konkani-speaking community.
