The Maina-Curtorim police have arrested a 19-year old youth, Darshan Naik, a native of Karnataka in connection with the kidnapping of a minor girl from the Rumdamol Housing Board.
Maina-Curtorim police station in-charge, PI Ravi Desai informed that the accused was nabbed from Mapusa, where he had gone hiding after committing the offence.
Acting on a complaint, the police said the accused has been charged for the offence of kidnapping under
Section of the provisions of the Goa Children’s Act since the victim was a minor girl.
