A labourer from Bihar died of grievous injuries which he sustained after a cemented electricity poll fell on his legs while installing the pole by the road side at Curtorim.
Maina Curtorim police has charged the site supervisor Devraj S for having failed to take necessary care and precaution while installing the cemented electricity pole by the road side.
Police said that in the process of installing the pole, the pole fell on the legs of worker Gaurav Kumar, a native of Bhagalpur-Bihar leaving him with grievous injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim.
A case under section 106(1) of the BNS 2023 is registered against the site supervisor.
