BELAGAVI
Lakeview College of Nursing organised a lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony on February 2 for the B.Sc. Nursing students, at IMA Hall Belagavi.
Dr Vithal V Shinde, District Surgeon at BIMS Hospital, was the chief guest, while Dr Veereshkumar Nandgaon, Principal KAHER Institute of Nursing Science, Belagavi, was the guest of honour.
The ceremony began with an academic procession along with Dr Shashikant Kulgod, president of Lakeview Foundation and the Lakeview management committee members, including the principal and the faculty of the nursing college.
In his speech, Dr Shinde stressed on the importance of nursing profession in patient care. Dr Veereshkumar Nandgaon highlighted the quality of nursing education and etiquette to become a noble nurse in his speech.
Students presented the invocation song along with the lighting of the lamp.
While Soumyarani hosted the program, Sophiyarani welcomed the gathering. Principal Dr Nagaraj K presented college report. The oath was also administered and the relevance of lighting of the lamp was explained by the staff members.
Lakeview hospital directors, principals and heads of different institutions and Lakeview hospital team was present at the ceremony.
