CM willing to talk
for resumption of
ore transportation
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar expressed willingness to hold talks to resume ore transportation in the interest of the State.
“In the interest of the State economy, I am ready to hold talks with anybody, even those who have criticised me,” he said.
Reacting to the allegations that he is working in the interest of mining companies, “Mining companies can take care of their interest on their own. I have to look after common man’s interest for which mining has to start. As international prices have fallen, mining companies are not enthusiastic about resuming mining activities while on the other hand truckers are demanding more rate for transportation of the ore.”
“If someone wants to help and put things in place, I am ready to support. But those who were shouting in the Assembly that we were distributing government’s money and giving free packages, they are now instigating truckers to stop transportation. This does not suit them”, he said.
