Like Goa, BJP will regain power in Maha: Fadnavis

Like Goa, BJP will regain power in Maha: Fadnavis

PANAJI

BJP's Goa election incharge Devendra Fadnavis said BJP’s victory in Goa would be replicated in Maharashtra in the next municipal, ZP and assembly elections.

Fadnavis was addressing a gathering after he was given a grand welcome and felicitated in Nagpur for his active role in the victory of BJP in Goa.

A rally was organised at Nagpur till the residence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Fadnavis was seen waving to people from a vehicle.

At a function in Gadkari’s residence, Nitin Gadkari and his wife, Kanchan, personally welcomed and congratulated Fadnavis. After that, a public meeting was held near Gadkari's house.

“At the Goa assembly elections, the Shiv Sena and NCP had formed an alliance and contested against the BJP. But they have got fewer votes than even NOTA and all of their candidates lost their deposits,” said Fadnavis, while taking a dig at the NCP-Shiv Sena alliance which is in power in Maharashtra.

"BJP’s victory in Goa will be replicated in Maharashtra in 2024, when it will return to power. Goa is just a glimpse of a bigger fight which will unfold in Maharastra, where the municipal, ZP and assembly elections will take place and the BJP will win in all these elections,” said Fadnavis.

Fadnavis credited the victory for the Goa assembly elections to the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP Goa team.

“I accept this felicitation on behalf of BJP, the PM and Team Goa. The real credit goes to them. There is positivity and faith in Modi across the nation,” said Fadnavis.

He added that the dreams of Congress and other parties of getting into power had been devastated.
