Twenty-three residents have signed the complaint stating that rooms in the lodge have been given for prostitution activities. “We had repeatedly requested the lodge owner to shut down such activities, but the owner did not pay heed to our demands and continued his business,” said residents in their complaint.
“Due to such activities, our locality has become a red-light area and has bought bad name for people residing in the area. The police should initiate action against the said lodge,” demanded the residents.
Copies of their complaint have also been forwarded to Mapusa MLA, Chief Minister and others.
