Several residents of Sada have complained about overflowing sewerage flowing from houses atop the hillock at Jetty and Bogda.
According to sources, sewerage has been overflowing since the last few days and residents said they had filed a complaint with the PWD in the matter.
“We have been facing this issue for a long time now. The overflowing sewerage has worsened in the rains, since sewerage water and rainwater mixes and flows like a waterfall from the steps we use to move in the area. The stench is unbearable and the sewerage could also pose a health threat,” said a resident Ramesh Parab.
Added another resident, Paresh Naik: “The PWD must act soon because the monsoons are fast approaching and this sewerage flows everywhere across the area.”
