Lolayekar, other senior officers transferred in major govt rejig


PANAJI: The Government of Goa has effected transfer of senior scale officers with several significant changes including that of Prasad Lolayekar who has been serving as the Director of Art and Culture and Member Secretary of Kala Academy has been given full charge as the Director of Higher Education.
Director of Public Grievances Dattaram Sardesai has now been appointed as the Director (Administration) of the Goa Medical College while Sanjiv Gadkar who held the post as GMC is now appointed as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
Gurudas Pilarnkar, who was only a few months ago appointed as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies has now been appointed as the Director of Art and Culture with additional responsibility as the Member Secretary of the Kala Academy.
Levinson Martins, the Member Secretary of the Goa State Pollution Control Board has been given additional charge as the Director of Science and Technology.
Melvyn Vas, the director of NRI Affairs has been posted as the secretary of the Goa State Election Commission, Ruhi Redkar the Director of Women and Child Development has been posted as the Chief Executive Officer of the the North Goa Zilla Panchayat.
In her place, Dipak Dessai who was last posted as the Commissioner of CCP has been posted as the Director of Women and Child Development.
Narayan Prabhudesai, the custodian of evacuee property has been appointed as the superintendent of the Central Jail at Colvale.
Rajendra Mirajkar who was posted as the additional director of panchayats has now been appointed as Inspector General of Prisons reliving Siddhivinayak Naik of additional charge.
Shamsundar Parab who was appointed as the Superintendent of Colvale Jail is now posted as the Director of NRI affairs.

Registrations for IFFI open, over 8,000 delegates expected

PANAJI Delegate registration for the 48th International Film Festival of India has been opened on the official festival website. This year, over 8,000 delegates are expected to be registered for the festival.
